Installing Arsenal Vault on Windows 11
A step-by-step guide to downloading and installing the Arsenal Vault Desktop application on your Windows 11 computer.
Before You Begin
Windows may display a security prompt when installing Arsenal Vault. This is normal for new applications. The steps below will guide you through the installation process safely.
1 Download the Installer
Visit the Arsenal Vault download page and click the Windows Desktop download button. Your browser will download a file named ArsenalVault-Setup.exe.
The file will typically appear in your Downloads folder or at the bottom of your browser window.
2 Run the Installer
Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation. Windows will display a security screen — this is expected.
You'll see a screen that says "Windows protected your PC"

This message appears because Arsenal Vault is a new application. It's safe to proceed — your data stays encrypted on your local machine.

Troubleshooting
The "More info" link doesn't appear
If you only see a "Don't run" button, make sure you're clicking directly on the blue "More info" text, not elsewhere on the dialog. The text may be small — look for it below the main warning message.
Windows blocks the download entirely
Some browsers may block the download. Try right-clicking the download link and selecting "Save link as..." or temporarily disable your browser's download protection in settings.
Antivirus software flags the installer
Some antivirus programs may flag new applications. You can temporarily disable your antivirus during installation, or add an exception for Arsenal Vault. The application is safe and does not contain malware.
Your Data Stays Secure
Arsenal Vault Desktop stores all your data locally on your computer — it never leaves your machine. Your vault is encrypted with AES-256, the same standard used by banks and government agencies. Even if someone accessed your computer, they couldn't read your inventory without your password.
